Updated Death Announcement of 72 year old Maryland Whitfield affectionately known as Suzette, Toupo Hill, Marigot who resided in New Jersey

It is with profound sadness we announce the death of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many, Maryland Whitfield-Jones affectionately known as Suzette, 72 years of age from Toupo Hill, Marigot. She passed away at Beth Israel Hospital in New Jersey on August 4th, 2025.

She has left to mourn:

Children: Kenny Boyd in New Jersey, Kathlene Boyd in New York, Karen Boyd in New York, Mekel Dorsette in Maryland

Adopted Children: Marva Prevost and Maxine Balthazar in New York, Mickey Prevost in St Croix

Grandchildren:  Kellyann, Carlyne, Bertina, Kurt, Zariah, Kabriel, Zion

Great Grand Children:  Keevante, Stephen, Shane

Sister: Dora Jones in Florida

Brothers: Washington Linton, better known as Tadia, Royer and Cecil Jones 

Nieces: Mena St Rose, Annie Linton, Denise Charles, Tamara Durand, Reah Francis, Kernesia Prevost, Trisha Henderson, Pauline, Josian and Rebbeca Charles

Nephews: Joseph and Roy Linton, Kenrick James, Kernel Prevost, Marcus, Johnathan and Cj Henderson

Great Nieces and Nephews: Sabrina, Neisha, Kalsey, Christine, Dixon, Reon, Leon, Joshua, Chevon, Cheldon, Tyler, Cayden and Skyler

Daughters in law: Cassilda Boyd and Chandra Dorsette

God Children: Tabby, Kiesha, Glenroy, Shabbani and Brian

Cousins: Nell, Beverly, Leandra, Wendy, Vernon and Othney and other names too numerous to mention.

Close friends and other Relatives: Francis Dorsette, Lucia Linton, Christine Burnette, Christina Linton, Dorisann and Donald Carter and Buck James, The Family of the late Betty Benjamin, Stewart Paris and family, The family of the late Millie Abraham, neighbors of Toupo Hill and the community of Marigot.

The Funeral service of the late Maryland Suzette Whitfield-Jones will be held on Saturday August 16th at the Redemption Tabernacle Pentecostal Church (15-17 Gareis St, Newark, New Jersey 07103). Viewing from 8.30am, service at 10:00am, followed by internment at Rosedale Cemetery.
