It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of 68 year old Luke Roy Tyson better known as “Daddy Roy” and “Compere” of Bataca Kalinago Territory in Dominica who resided in Golden Grove Extension in Antigua. He died on Monday 18th March 2024 at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center in Antigua.
He leaves to mourn his
Mother : Rita Lewis in Antigua
Step Mother : June Tyson (Deceased)
Father : Byron Tyson in England
Wife: Edith Tyson
Daughters : Diane Tyson and Allison Tyson Joseph
Sons : Flint, Bert, Brent, Brandon and Micheal
Adoptive son/Grandson: Lara Georges
Grandchildren : AJ, Chad, Aliyah, Jason, Aiden, Tia, Bronson, Jayden, Westin, Tarsha, Nash and Brett and Urvin (deceased).
Great grand child : Abby Georges
Brothers : Harris and Spouse Annie , Urvin in Antigua, Kendall and Marshall in the USA and Garnette in Dominica.
Sisters: Rosie, Francess, and Emma in Antigua; Odette and Debra in England, Hilma in Barbados
Numerous Nephews and Nieces in Antigua, Dominica and England
Sons-in-law : Dennison and Horatio
Daughters-in-law: Christine, Cassie, Charlsea and Ashley.
Sisters-in-law: Fannie, Kathleen, Annette, Thelma, Ursula and Winnie.
Brothers-in-law: Rapheal, Kenneth, Felix and Ederick
Close friends : Nurse Bontin, Tac tic, Fletcher, Mr Poles, Eric, Tim , Sam, Pastor Rolle and his wife, Alex and all his workers in Antigua.
His Clients : Nathan, Vince, and Mike from English Harbour
Numerous friends and relatives all over the world including MasClem Fredrick and family, Anthony “Coley” Rabess, the Fredericks, Tyson, Auguiste and Darroux family in Dominica and Ann Timothy and family in USA.
Other relatives and friends in Dominica, Antigua England and overseas too numerous to mention .
The doctors and nurses of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center especially those who work in the Intensive Care Unit.
The body of the late Luke Roy Tyson better known as “Daddy Roy” and “Compere” will be viewed on Monday 15th April 2024 at the Mt Sion Baptist Church in Golden Grove from 1 to 1.30 pm. Service begins at 1:30 pm and interment will follow at the St John’s Cemetery.
Funeral arrangement handled by Barns Funeral Home in Antigua.
The Family expresses their gratitude to all who called, said prayers , send their love during this difficult time. Thank You.
The family is asking for festive colours to be worn during the funeral.
