Death Announcement of 68 year old Jerome “Ralton” Carrette of Clifton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome “Ralton” Carrette of Clifton. He departed this life on Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at the Reginald Fitzroy Armour Hospital in Portsmouth. He was 68 years old, born on May 27th, 1957.

He leaves to mourn:

●​  His wife: Angelina Bastien Carrette​

●​  His daughter: Jesima Carrette​

●​   His step-children: Sandra Carbon, Petra Carbon George, Stephen Carbon, and Joel Carbon​

●​   His step-children-in-law: Shanira John-Lewis, Kluivert Charles, Amanda Charles, and Lindo George​

●​   His grandchildren: Kiara Christopher, Kyan Carbon, Keyon Carbon, Kianna George, Jwanie Frederick, Staphan Carbon, and Keyshun George​

●​   His nieces and nephews: Precilla, Orlando, Dean, Deon, Ausmond, Alanna, Antonia Dinnard, and Edwina Dinnard Walker​

●​   Close relatives include: Trifinia Langlais, Ruthine Hunter, Dorine Andre, Vania Victorine Samuel, Esther Peter, Robertine Seaman, Roseline Peter, and many others too numerous to mention​

●​   Sisters-in-law: Vinance Thomas, Cheryl Luke, Marinette Bastien, Catherine Bastien, and Rosline Mark​

●​  Brothers-in-law: Kanute Bastien, Dorian Bastien, and Dexter Bastien

He will also be missed by close friends including Julia Lamothe, Helen Sabin, Cuthbert Bryant, and Michael Belle, along with many others too numerous to mention.

He will be remembered by the Carrette, Peter, Wallace, Carbon, Seaman, Lamothe, Belle, and Langlais families, along with many other relatives, friends, and members of the communities of Clifton, Capuchin, and the surrounding villages.

As a long-standing and active member of the Capuchin, Clifton, and Cocoyer Village Councils, Jerome “Ralton” Carrette also leaves behind a legacy of service and deep commitment to his community. His contributions to village development and leadership will be fondly remembered.

Funeral Arrangements

The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 18th, 2025, at the Grace Baptist Church in Clifton:

●​  Service: 3:00 PM

The family extends sincere thanks to Nurse Nalda Wallace, the Oncology Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, the Fire and Ambulance Service, and the Honourable Roland Royer for their support and assistance during this difficult time.
