We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Augustina Matthew, affectionately known as, Gugus, who died peacefully on August 12, 2025 in Morne Jaune, at the age of 61.
A Beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend, Augustina is survived by her:
Beloved Mother: Clementia Dolly Matthew in Morne Jaune.
Sisters: Ruthina Eloi in New York,
Cecilia Anselm in Georgia, and
Sister Cordelia Pierre in Roseau.
Brothers: Bob, and Pablo JnoHope.
NEPHEW: Wayne
NIECES: Vida, Rhea, and Sheila
GRANDNEPHEWS: Frankie, Clatus, and Kahibe
GRANDNIECES: Tyra, Jaeed, Shelicia, Garvlyn, Shenika, Azareen and Ezandra
GODCHILDREN: Shelby and Kaheem

The funeral Mass for Augustina “Gugus” Matthew will be held on Friday, 12th September 2025 at the Morne Jaune Chapel. Viewing begins at 2:00PM, followed by the Mass at 3:00PM.
Interment will follow at the La Plaine Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Gentle Rest Funeral Home.
