It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of 18 year old, Nelius Defoe also known as ‘Jay or Jayson’ who resided in Sineku in the Kalinago Territory. He died on July 3^rd 2022 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH).

He leaves to mourn:

Mother: Janice Pierre Cuffy

Father: Cornelius star Defoe.

Brothers: Coned and Lucas in Martinique, Conrad, Cordele and Jordan in Dominica, Peter in Canada and Finn in Antigua.

Sisters: Sierra and Sara in Dominica.

Grandparents: Yolanda Cuffy, Madeline Frederick and Ferdinand Valmond.

Great Grand Parents: Agatha Frederick and Juney Gordon.

Aunties: Dayan, Malica, Anne Marie, Daphney, Tarina, Tyrella, Shermin, Liz, Marium, Debra, Macdalyn, Martha, Maureen, Stephanie in Antigua and Vitalis in Guadeloupe.

Uncles: Nerius, Fortuna’e, Aldie, Wendel, Nabiel, Brian, Jacob, Alexander, Tom, Tardius, Dorian (DJ SLY) Harris, Carlyn, Ned and Justin Stoute of the Dominica Police Force.

The Body of the Late, Nelius Defoe also Known as Jay or Jason will be transported from the Lyndhurst Funeral Home for viewing at 2:30pm on Friday July 22^nd 2022 at the Christian Union Church in Sineku. The funeral Service will commence at 3:00pm followed by internment at the Slybia Public Cemetery.
