Discover Dominica Authority will host a unique seminar to strengthen the business operation of tourism stakeholders.  The half day seminar takes place from 9 am at the Prevo Cinemall conference room on Thursday January 17, 2019.

During the seminar, tourism stakeholders will receive an update on progress made within the last year as well as plans for the coming year. A key presentation will be by Vivian Mur of Adara.  Adara is a digital marketing company which provides tourism stakeholders with information on consumer trends and how these trends can be used to increase business.  The presentation will focus on utilizing digital technology tools and techniques to grow business.

Mark Punshon of Footprints & Insights will provide critical information on global distribution systems.  The presentation will capitalize on Mark Punshon’s experience as Distribution Development Manager of Tourism Australia where he was involved in online marketing and client management initiatives, resulting in increased growth of overseas travel agencies for Australia.

Director of Tourism, Colin Piper stated that, “This seminar is timely as it will enable tourism service providers to have a better understanding of how they can benefit from the growth in doing business online, as there are a variety of technology tools which can be used to fit any budget and can increase profitability.”
