The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) supports the Government’s revision of COVID-19 protocols and relaxation of restrictions on local commercial activity.
The easing of restrictions on travel, access to commercial establishments, and event hosting are particularly significant for the private sector. Combined with recent improvements in air access and connectivity, the relaxation of restrictions should translate into increased visitor arrivals and expenditure. Importantly, businesses that have been closed or operating on a limited schedule due to COVID-19 Regulations can resume normal operations.
The general public is encouraged to continue observing health measures for personal safety. Businesses are urged to adhere to the mask and sanitization mandates in order to provide an environment that is safe for work and business.
The DAIC looks forward to continuing to collaborate with the Government to enhance Dominica as the ideal place to live, work, invest and visit.
