The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) invites Chamber Members, manufacturers and importers to a virtual Educational Session on the Front of Package Nutrition Labeling (FoPNL) on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 from 2:00 – 3:15 PM.
This session is hosted as part of an initiative of the Network of Caribbean Chambers of Commerce (CARICHAM), in collaboration with the CARICOM Private Sector Organization (CPSO) and KMA Consulting Ltd.
CARICOM Heads of Government in 2007, pledged through the Port-of-Spain Declaration to stop the epidemic of non-communicable diseases. This measure includes the implementation of an appropriate supplementary nutritional labeling standard to alert consumers to the presence of Nutritions of Concern above the recommended threshold in packaged foods.
Further to discussions hosted by DAIC for manufacturers and importers on this matter in 2021, the Chamber seeks to provide a platform for engaging on the action taken to determine an appropriate FoPNL scheme and a harmonized approach for implementation in the region and Dominica.
Chamber members and other manufacturers and importers interested in participating in this discussion are advised to contact the DAIC Secretariat for more information at (767)449-1962/235-1962 or chamber.daic@gmail.com.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
