Roseau, Dominica – April 29, 2026 – The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) has announced that its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Prevo Cinemall Ballroom, commencing at 1:00 PM.
The AGM will feature an Open Session under the theme:
“Beyond the Runway: Unlocking Private Sector Growth Through Dominica’s International Airport.”
The Open Session will be highlighted by a keynote presentation from Mr. Samuel Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of the International Airport Development Company (IADC). Mr. Johnson is expected to address the emerging opportunities for the private sector arising from the development of Dominica’s international airport, which remains the most transformative national project in the country’s history.
His presentation will focus on how businesses can better understand, prepare for, and position themselves to benefit from the wider economic activity expected to arise from the international airport’s development. This includes opportunities across areas such as tourism, logistics, construction, professional services, agriculture, trade, transport, retail, hospitality, and MSME development.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer segment, providing attendees with an opportunity to engage directly on the opportunities ahead.
The AGM schedule is as follows:
Open Session: 1:00 PM
Networking Break: 2:30 PM
Closed Session: 2:45 PM
The cost of in-person attendance for the Open Session is EC$125 for Members and EC$200 for Non-Members. Space is limited, and interested persons are encouraged to confirm attendance early.

The Closed Session will be reserved for DAIC members only and will address the statutory business of the Association, including reports, governance matters, membership concerns, and the election of Board Members.
DAIC looks forward to the participation and engagement of members, business leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders as it continues to strengthen its role as the leading voice of the private sector and a key partner in national development.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
