CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY DONATES BULLET-PROOF VESTS TO BDCS

On Monday, May 18th, 2026, Bishop Dr. Woodley Thompson, Bishop and National Overseer of the Church of God of Prophecy, donated six bullet-proof vests to The Bahamas Department of Corrections.

Bishop Dr. Woodley Thompson, while presenting the donation, stated that as the Church of God of Prophecy prepares to celebrate Pentecost with an ecumenical service, their theme for this year is “Heal the Land.” Their focus is on agencies working toward the country’s healing, rehabilitation, and restoration. Therefore, we thought it fitting to make this donation of bulletproof vests as both a tool and a symbol to show our support for the work you do.

Deputy Commissioner of Corrections Bernardette Thompson-Murray, OM, responded on behalf of BDCS, thanking Bishop Dr. Woodley Thompson and his team for their generosity.

Concluding the event, Commissioner of Corrections Doan Cleare, CD, echoed Deputy Commissioner Murray’s sentiments, emphasizing the great need for the vests and expressing that the institution is pleased to receive the donation, noting that sourcing these items is very expensive.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
