The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has established a ten-member CARICOM Election Observation Mission (CEOM) to observe the General Elections of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, scheduled for November 27, 2025.
The Electoral Office of the Commonwealth of Dominica is pleased to announce its participation in this important regional initiative. Following an official invitation from regional authorities, Chief Elections Officer, Ms. Anthea Joseph, will serve as one of the observers closely monitoring the electoral process in the neighboring island state.
As Dominica embarks on a crucial voter confirmation exercise, the Electoral Office underscores the importance of active engagement and the exchange of best practices across the Caribbean. This period marks a significant moment for Dominica’s democracy as efforts continue to strengthen the integrity and transparency of its electoral systems. Observing elections within the region provides valuable opportunities for collaboration and learning.
The Dominica representative will join a team of CARICOM experts whose mission is to assess the conduct of the elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This initiative reflects the region’s collective commitment to safeguarding and enhancing democratic processes.
Chief Elections Officer Joseph noted, “Participating in the election observation mission highlights our dedication to fostering transparent and accountable elections.
