One of those most prolific Calypsonians hailing from Trinidad and Tobago died this morning .   Sandra “Singing Sandra” Des Vines Millington was a true calypso legend who hailed from the heart Laventille.

she is well known for songs like ‘Voices from the Ghetto’ and Die with my dignity

Singing Sandra won the Calypso Monarch competition twice; in 1999 and 2003.

She died at the age of 64.
