BUJU BANTON’S ‘LONG WALK TO FREEDOM’ TOUR TOUCHES DOWN ON DOMINICA FOR WCMF 2019

Reggae and dancehall legend, Buju Banton’s “Long Walk to Freedom” tour will touch down on Dominica for the 21st edition of the Dominica World Creole  Music Festival, with a much-anticipated performance on Saturday 26th October, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.

The “Gargamel” is slated to release his magic on Night Two of the WCMF, together with a line-up of other top acts, for what is expected to be one of the biggest nights ever at the Festival. He is expected to attract festival-goers and music lovers from across the region as well as from the Dominican diaspora in North America and Europe.

The “Gargamel’s “walk” to Dominica, is a return to his roots, in a place where he earlier found a massive fan base and a place to fully immerse with nature and his Rastafarian roots. His “walk” to Dominica is part of his line-up of performances this year.  He made a triumphant homecoming, on March 16th in his native Jamaica, delivering one of the performances of the century at the National Stadium in Kingston.  Since then, this consummate showman, has traveled and performed for enthusiastic and massive crowds in the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and at this year’s Reggae Sumfest on July 20th in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He has also toured Europe, performing to his adoring fans and music lovers in several European States including, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, France, and Germany.
