Anthony Leblanc, chairman of the Builders and Contractors Association of Dominica (BCAD), says the association is collaborating with the British Fund for International Development on a CVQ program.
“We are working with the consultants charged with delivering the project and we have put in proposals which are being reviewed now”. The plans are in the advanced stage and its aim is to ensure that CVQ certification is available to more persons in the construction sector and even those who are unemployed and considering the construction sector.
Leblanc hopes that having CVQ certification will draw larger numbers of young people into the industry. He hopes that the project will be available by September month end.
