Charity Event @ Batibou Beach, Hampstead-Ato’s Nourishing Handz will be hosting a Beach
Game Party from 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 16 to raise funds to help alleviate the various
hardships in its community.
This is a collaborative effort between Athena Dodds & the management of Batibou Beach, who is
allowing ticket holders free use of Batibou & its facilities for this commendable charity Event.
In exchange for a $40 donation, the Event will feature games, music, prizes, snacks & a tasty
Wellness lunch, showcasing healthy foods in an unusually delicious format, consonant with Ato’s
motto, “creating wholesome lives”.
Everyone is invited to enjoy the festivities, if only to exchange the sweltering heat, for the cool,
pristine clean water of Batibou.
Ato’s Nourishing Handz was launched in 2019 by 20-year-old All Saints nursing student Athena
Dodds, who believes that God’s plan for her life is “to create wholesome lives in my country”.
Athena is motivated by an inner compulsion “to be there for people. I don’t separate myself from my
Foundation”, she says.
In 2020, in conjunction with the Arthur Waldron Seventh Day Adventist Academy, Ato’s presented
a donation to the Stronach Ward at the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital, and “by the grace of
God, I am eager for bigger future plans”, says Dodds. Ato’s has made multiple random donations
including equipment to the Dominica Infirmary Nursing Home, “OpenTable Share” in Wesley, and
grocery shopping for many families in need.
