Anguilla Celebrates 59th Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution

The people of Anguilla gathered at Ronald Webster Park on June 1, 2026, to commemorate the 59th Anniversary of the Anguilla Revolution under the theme, “Empowered by Yesterday’s Legacy, Inspired by Tomorrow’s Promise.”

The Official Ceremony and Parade, chaired by Lois Hazell, paid tribute to the courage, determination, and unity of those who helped shape Anguilla’s future during the 1967 Revolution.

The event featured prayers, cultural performances, military displays, and remarks from Governor Julia Crouch, Opposition Leader Dr. Ellis Lorenzo Webster, and Premier Cora Richardson Hodge, who reflected on the Revolution’s significance and its lasting impact on the nation.

The Government of Anguilla thanked all participants, volunteers, performers, uniformed services, and members of the public who contributed to the successful observance.

As Anguilla marks 59 years since the Revolution, leaders and citizens reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger, more resilient, and prosperous future while honoring the legacy of the nation’s fore parents.
