Ace Academix, a leading educational institution known for its modern approach to Caribbean education, is pleased to announce the hosting of its Third Annual Free Online Creative Writing Workshop, in collaboration with the Creative Writing Institute of Trinidad and Tobago.
The workshop will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, and is open to students across Dominica, particularly those preparing for the Grade 6 National Assessment scheduled for May 2026.
Now in its third year, this initiative continues to play a critical role in strengthening students’ writing abilities ahead of national examinations. Since its inception in 2024, the workshop has supported students in developing the skills needed to write effectively, confidently, and successfully under exam conditions.
For the past six years, since its establishment in August 2020, Ace Academix has been a consistent and impactful presence in Dominica’s academic landscape, providing students with the support and resources needed to excel.
Writing remains one of the most challenging components of the Grade 6 National Assessment. In response, Ace Academix has made it a priority to build strong regional and local partnerships, ensuring that students benefit from high-quality instruction and diverse teaching approaches. This collaboration with the Creative Writing Institute of Trinidad and Tobago brings together expertise from across the Caribbean to deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences.
During the workshop, students will receive targeted support in:
Narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive writing
Practical acronyms and strategies to structure their writing effectively
Developing creativity and clarity in written expression
Techniques to improve performance in examination settings
According to Jemima Mills, CEO of Ace Academix,
“Writing is a skill that many students struggle with, especially in exam settings. Through this workshop, we are equipping students with practical tools, strategies, and confidence to approach their exams successfully. Our continued collaboration across the Caribbean allows us to provide a richer, more effective learning experience for our students.”
Parents and students are encouraged to take advantage of this 100 percent free opportunity as they prepare for the upcoming national assessment.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
