It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Marcelline Toussaint-Powell, affectionately known as Mama, age 99. She was born in Soufriere and raised in Pointe Michel, but resided at 44- 12th Street, Canefield. Mrs. Powell peacefully departed on June 16th at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
She left to mourn her children: Frances Elwin, Dominica, Gloria Powel-Canada, Mary Antoine-USA, Melanie Piper, USA, Maximin Powell- Dominica, Joseph “Joe P” Powell-Canada

The funeral will take place on Friday, July 12. The viewing of the body will be at 2:00 pm and mass at 3:00 pm at the Roseau Cathedral followed by interment at the Roseau Catholic Cemetary.
Marcelline Powell will be remembered for her strong faith in God, her warmth, wisdom, and kindness, which touched the lives of many. Her presence in our lives has been a blessing, and although she is no longer with us, her spirit and memories will forever remain in our hearts.
The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
