We announce the death of 91-year-old Maria Martin also known as Aunty, Ma Tinnin and Mama of Layou.
She departed this life at her residence on May 22, 2024.
She is survived by:
Daughters: Editha Martin and Norma Joseph
Son: Gerard Martin
10 grandchildren: Pearla, (Caretaker Phillip aka Big Russ) Kerri-Ann aka Pookie, Normalee, Antonia, Wayne, Joseph, Isaac, Oswald and Amber
10 great-grandchildren
1 adopted great grandchild: Sparkle
1 great great-grandchild
2 sisters: Easterlyn and Prudent Laurent
1 brother: Obediah Thomas
2 adopted grandsons: Alijuwan and Dwayne aka Bowlscrape
Other family members loved ones and friends in the St Joseph constituency, especially the Laurent, Pierre, Thomas, and Ravalier families.
The service to celebrate the life of Maria Martin will be held on Saturday 15th June 2024 at Layou Christian Union Church. Viewing will be at 1:00pm, and service at 2:00pm, followed by interment at The Layou Public Cemetery.
