835 candidates to write the Grade Six National Assessment

Wednesday, May 22, 2024— The Ministry Education, Human resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence will administer the annual Grade Six National Assessment (G6NA) on Thursday May 23 and Friday May 24, 2024.

This year 835 candidates, that is, 412 girls and 423 boys, will be taking the exams across 60 centers around the island. The exams are set to begin at 7:45am each day.

On Thursday, candidates will sit the Language Arts and Social Sciences papers with the Language Arts having an additional written composition aspect. On Friday, candidates will sit the Mathematics and Science & Technology Papers. With the support of educators, administrators and technology partners, the Ministry of Education has meticulously prepared for the successful implementation of the National Assessment online, to include training and practice test runs. This is to ensure that both the candidates and educators are well equipped to navigate the online testing environment with ease and confidence.

We are requesting that parents or anyone not directly involved with the exam or the school to Keep Away from the compounds of any testing center while the examinations are in progress. Additionally, it is advised that parents allow their children some time to relax on the few days leading up to the examinations.

The Ministry of Education, Human resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence, wishes each and every student in Grade six (6) success in the upcoming assessments.
