Roseau, Dominica-July 20, 2023: Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Climate Resilience and Social Security, Hon. Dr. Irving McIntyre will present the 2023/2024 national budget at the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
The Minister of Finance will seek parliamentary approval of Estimates of Expenditure for the financial year ending June 30, 2024, amounting to one billion, two hundred and thirty-four million, five hundred and twenty-four thousand, and thirty six dollars (ECD$1, 234, 524, 036.00).
The Draft Estimates of Expenditure for the fiscal year 2023/2024 includes total recurrent expenditure of five hundred and thirty-two million, nine hundred and fifty-four thousand, one hundred and sixty-four dollars (ECD$532, 954, 164) and capital expenditure of seven hundred and one million, five hundred and sixty-nine thousand, eight hundred and seventy-two dollars (ECD$701, 569, 872).
The proceedings of the House commence at 10:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live via the Government Information Service (GIS) and the Dominica Broadcasting Service (DBS).
