Discover Dominica Authority, in collaboration with the local Dominican stakeholders presents Staycation 2022.
Staycation promotions are an annual initiative of Discover Dominica Authority, running consecutively for twelve years this year.
The main purpose of Staycation 2022 is to increase domestic tourism during the summer period. It provides island experiences for locals while bonding with friends and family. Properties also get
the opportunity to fill empty rooms and provide various tours.
Generally, the promotion runs from June to August, but the 2022 campaign will take a different
approach with some packages lasting until December 2022. Packages will highlight properties’
wellness features in alignment with Dominica’s Year of Health and Wellness.
This year, the event is open to stakeholders certified under the Nature Island Standards of Excellence
(NISE). Thus far, there are ten accommodation and seven tour operators that have participated in
Staycation 2022.
They are:
• Fort Young Hotel
• Cabrits Resort and Spa Kempinski
• Atlantique View Resort
• Rosalie Bay Eco Resort & Spa
• Louislyn Apartments
• Rejens Hotel
• Sea World Guest House
• Just Go Dominica
• Extreme Dominica ltd
• Rainforest Riding
• KHATTS
• Hibiscus Eco Tours
As COVID restrictions are less stringent, Discover Dominica Authority is encouraging all locals; friends, groups, and families to take advantage of the special packages provided by the staycation partners, including discounts on meals, rooms, and offers on additional amenities.
