Roseau, Dominica-Saturday 4th December, 2021: The Dominica Red Cross volunteers continues to be a positive force in our communities by providing assistance in healthcare, welfare services, medical aid services, water and sanitation, educational programmes and many.
This is the power of humanity of our Red Cross
Movement and it is unstoppable.
Through our volunteers we ensure that our communities have the knowledge and means to protect themselves and this has been truly unparalleled. Our staff and volunteers delivered essential items, transported patients, distributed personal protective equipment, hygiene and sanitation supplies, groceries and cash vouchers to those impacted by the pandemic and assisted the
Ministry of Health with COVID-19 testing and vaccinations, provided health information and psychosocial support to communities and so much more.
As the world celebrates World Volunteer Day, the Dominica Red Cross would like to express its gratitude to its many volunteers, you are the backbone of the National Society and your work in your communities to build resilience makes us all unstoppable.
Thank you for being such a positive force for change in our communities and your dedicated and committed support to the Ministry of Health in these challenging times are greatly appreciated.
