Piper encourages existing customers to continue banking at their usual locations since the Bayfront location can only process non cash transactions for now. She says that in the coming months the two banks will be fully integrated and all services will be available islandwide. She promises that as much as possible NBD will strive to match the services previously offered by the RBC.

Mrs. Piper also extended a warm welcome to the new NBD employees who previously worked for RBC.

Meanwhile, former Country Manager of RBC, Davis David says, “We are optimistic about the acquisition. We think that things will work seamlessly based on everything that we’ve been told and everything that we’ve gone through in the agreements”.

David says that the acquisition was about moving the NBD forward and he will be fully involved in doing just that. He is sure that customers will continue to receive excellent service as the NBD has retained the former RBC staff members.

Former RBC customer, Peter Alleyne is happy about the acquisition of RBC as he said that customers could tell that business at the bank was slowing down. He says that the ambience at the new branch is great and there is a lot of staff so you get your business done quickly. He hopes that the ATM service will be available throughout the island for the new customers.

Alleyne says that he believes the transition will be a smooth one.
