Students at the University of the Southern Caribbean(USC) located in Trinidad has written and recorded a song entitled, “We’re in this Together”.
Coordinator of the music programme at the University, Kerron Hislop says, “This anthem of Caribbean unity was recorded by students in several different Caribbean territories after their studies were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and serves as a rallying call for us to hold on and not give up since we’re in this together.
He continues, “We believe that this song has the ability to bring us together as a people and we hope that everyone who listens to it will find inspiration to help take them through these tough and unprecedented times”.
A number of Dominicans are members of the USC family both past and present. A few of the current Dominican students are members of the ensemble.
