Miss World Europe 2019 Ophély Mézino, who will make an appearance at the Miss Dominica 2020 Carnival Queen Pageant, is presently on island taking in the sights and sounds.
Mezino who visited Wotten Waven to experience the natural hot spa at Ti Kwen Glo Sho or hot water spa says that it is a huge honor to discover the nature island and that it is an amazing island with much in common with her other island homes.

Mezino whose parents are both speech impaired hopes to bring awareness to the challenges faced by children of deaf adults. She also hopes to inspire persons faced by challenges to rise above them. She says that her challenges as a Child Of Deaf Adult (CODA) encouraged her to work harder.
Mezino’s preparation for the Miss World Pageant including training in the English language by former Miss West Indies 1999 and first runner up in the Miss Dominica 1997 , Shannon Vigilant.
Miss Dominica 2020 will take place on Thursday 20 February, 2020 at Carnival City.
