The Dominica Labour party launched its Manifesto in Mahaut on Friday. The theme of the Manifesto is a ‘Dynamic Dominica- Into a New Season’ and lists the intended plans of the party should they be elected on December 6 to continue governing the country.
DLP leader, Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit in his opening address says that Dominica has been on a clear upward path even after Hurricane Maria snatched away 226% of the GDP overnight. He says the clear upward path is evidenced by “our growing economy, expanded social services, and improved infrastructure”.
Skerrit says that no other leader in the Caribbean or the World ‘has had to address a crisis of such immediacy and such magnitude’. He says that today Dominicans have better housing, better road networks, higher quality education and health care, improved social services, and more jobs.
The Manifesto is also available online for the viewing public.
