It was a star-studded event at the Fort Young Hotel last night as some of Dominica’s top musicians were honored. The event was inspired by the Papa Creole Show which is carded for today, Saturday 15 June, at the forecourt of the Windsor Park Stadium.
Those awarded are recognized musicians in the areas of Cadence and Bouyon. Awardees were Gordon Henderson, Fitzroy Williams and Vivian Wallace (Exile One), Cletus ‘Halibut’ Abraham(Belles Combo), Phillip ‘Chubby’ Mark and Marcel Mark (Midnight Groovers) and the original WCK which was accepted by Cornell ‘Fingers’ Phillip.
Tonight’s show promises to be an out of this world affair as these pioneers in their genres all descend on one stage.
