An earthquake rocked the southern part of Dominica on Tuesday 11 December at approximately 9.19 pm. According to the Seismic Research Center of the University of the West Indies, the earthquake measured 3.7. Residents on the South of Dominica reported that it was very strong. There was also a report of a first quake with a magnitude of 4.0 at about 9.00 pm on that same day. It was felt in Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda and the French island of Guadeloupe. It was located at Latitude: 16.74N, Longitude: 59.58 W at a depth of 10 kilometers (Km).
