Seniors in the British Virgin Islands recently enjoyed a memorable historical tour across Tortola, visiting several treasured landmarks and scenic locations throughout the Territory.
The journey began at Queen Elizabeth II Park and continued through Road Town, Baughers Bay, Kingstown, East End, Ridge Road, and other culturally significant sites.
During the tour, participants learned about the history and importance of iconic locations including Noel Lloyd Park, the Kingstown Slave Church, Sunday Morning Well, Main Street, and Sir Olva Georges Square. Seniors also enjoyed panoramic views from Ridge Road and visited the HLSCC Marine Centre Museum.
Organizers said the experience gave seniors an opportunity to reconnect with the Territory’s history, share memories, and enjoy fellowship while celebrating the rich heritage of the Virgin Islands.
