Ediflor Festival to Debut in Dominica on May 24 and 25

Two-day culinary event in Giraudel to showcase edible flowers, floral cuisine and cultural experiences

The Edible Flower Festival, Ediflor, created by Daria Eugene of Cooking with Daria, will debut in Giraudel on May 24 and 25, 2026, from 12 p.m., bringing together cuisine, culture and creativity through a unique dining experience centered around edible flowers.

The two-day event will feature a two-tier full-course dining experience incorporating edible flowers, herbs, and tropical ingredients into appetizers, entrées, and desserts inspired by Dominican flavors and Caribbean cuisine. Tier 1 dining will be available exclusively on May 24.

Organizers describe Ediflor as the world’s first edible flower festival, designed to give patrons a new perspective on how flowers can be incorporated into food and culinary presentation.

In addition to the dining experience, the festival will also feature:

  • A flower art and antique exhibition
  • Interactive games and activities
  • A plant workshop for children
  • Local artisans and vendors
  • Live entertainment and cultural showcases

Founder Daria Eugene said the festival was developed to celebrate local ingredients while introducing a fresh culinary concept to Dominica.

“People often see flowers as decoration, but we wanted to show how they can become part of a real culinary experience. This festival gives people an opportunity to taste something different while enjoying food, culture and creativity in one space,” Eugene said.

Through Cooking with Daria, Eugene has continued to promote Dominican cuisine through interactive culinary experiences and creative uses of local ingredients.

The festival is expected to attract food lovers, chefs, gardeners, cultural enthusiasts and visitors seeking a unique addition to Dominica’s culinary calendar.

Tickets are available at Bullseye Pharmacy. For sponsorship opportunities, ticket information or additional inquiries, contact Cooking with Daria at 617-5827 or visit Giraudel, Dominica.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
