IT IS WITH PROFOUND SADNESS THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF EMMA JERVEZ BRUNEY, AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS “MISS VEZ” OR “AUNTY” OF THE KALINAGO TERRITORY. EMMA LIVED FOR MANY YEARS IN THE VILLAGE OF GRAND BAY AND WAS RESIDING IN ST. THOMAS USVI WHEN SHE TRANSITIONED.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO BROTHERS MARCEL AND CHRISTOFER BRUNEY; FIVE CHILDREN LOUIS PATRICK HILL (NICHI), VICTORINE MERRIFIRLD (DOLL), BERT MERRIFIELD(CLIFF), JERRY MERRIFIELD AND ROSEMARY MERRIFIELD; DAUGHTER IN LAW CELIA MERRIFIELD; FOURTEEN GRAND CHILDREN; FOURTEEN GREAT GRAND CHILDREN; VERY CLOSE FRIENDS DESIREE SMITH-HILL, RITA SMITH, MAFIN AND MARIE ST.HILIARE.
THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR EMMA JERVEZ BRUNEY WILL BE HEALD ON AUGUST 20th AT THE SAINT ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH AT 10am. FOLLOWING THE MASS THERE WILL BE A PROCESSION TO THE KALINAGO TERRITOTY WHERE HER BODY WILL BE LAID TO REST.
