The defending champions, 767 Sports Club of Dominica, defied the odds to reclaim their Pre-Season Invitational Championship title at the Beausejour Indoor Facility in St. Lucia. Despite being undersized and shorthanded, the team showcased resilience and skill, overcoming the top three premier basketball league teams to secure back-to-back victories.
Led by captain and veteran point guard Austine Nichols, who controlled the game tempo and led in assists, along with Abdulaziz Sanderson, a defensive powerhouse at center, the 767 Sports Club delivered a stellar performance throughout the tournament.

Thursday, March 13: 767 Sports Club defeated Bonne Terre Blazers 73-62.
Sharmar Felicite led the scoring with 19 points
Sherwin Williams contributed 18 points
Andel Olivacce added 11 points
Meshack Duboulay chipped in 10 points
Friday, March 14: 767 Sports Club dominated Morne Gladiators 87-71.
Meshack Duboulay, the teenage sensation, led with 20 points
Sharmar Felicite followed with 16 points
Andel Olivacce scored 13 points

Saturday, March 15 – Championship Game:
Facing off against Soufriere Kings, St. Lucia’s defending back-to-back premier league champions and tournament favorites, the 767 Sports Club delivered a championship-worthy performance, winning 80-72.

Meshack Duboulay: 15 points
Sharmar Felicite: 14 points, 22 rebounds
Austine Nichols: 12 points
With this victory, the 767 Sports Club walked away with a cash prize, trophy, and gold medals, solidifying their dominance in the tournament.

Coach Dunstan “Maggi” Peters expressed his elation, crediting strategic substitutions and motivating his young squad each night. Team Treasurer/Manager Dwight Timothy also commended the team’s growing confidence, noting how the young players stepped up in crucial moments.
