On June 3, the international peace organization, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, and Restoration of Light (HWPL) will host a Regional Peace Walk. This is an annual event that seeks to gather students and educators from across the Caribbean to “stand for peace” together as one.
As the world continues to face the repercussions from the COVID-19 pandemic and watch crises of violent conflicts unfold in several regions, HWPL is eager for this peace walk to unite Caribbean politicians, youth, other leaders, and the rest of the world in one heart.
Through peace messages and performances, all attendees can celebrate together that peace is possible, and it begins with each of us. In addition, this virtual peace walk will help participants gain insight on how they can act on the world’s collective will for peace by supporting the establishment of sustainable peace through the DPCW.
This traditionally in-person event has grown exponentially each successive year, and during the pandemic, HWPL’s Virtual Peace Walks were equally well received. Despite pandemic restrictions, we are slated to see strong participation yet again. This year, the Virtual Peace Walk will feature keynote speakers, political leaders, and HWPL representatives speaking out about their commitment to peace and encouraging a future generation of strong, positive leaders.
