2020 Miss OECS Pageant cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Miss OECS pageant, scheduled for November 2020, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the pageant’s recent revival, this decision was taken by the Miss OECS Pageant Committee in order to protect the safety of its participants, stakeholders, volunteers, and patrons.

The pageant’s director, Mrs. Romualda Hyacinth,  noted that due to the unpredictability and nature of this virus, it is very difficult to proceed with plans as further restrictions may be implemented which would undeniably affect the pageant. She added that the Miss OECS pageant Committee’s primary concern during this pandemic is the health and safety of all. Therefore, the committee will use this opportunity to revise its rules, eligibility requirements and procedures for the 2021 competition year.
