10 players have made it into the DCF Championship finals carded for May 13th to May 15

The Dominica Chess Federation is hosting the first annual National Chess Tournament here on the island of Dominica.

The qualifiers are over and 10 players have made it into the Championship finals carded for May 13th to May 15th. These players will compete to be the first ever Dominica National Chess Champion.  They are:

Auguiste, Lyndon

Berridge, Edgar

Boyd, Ross

Burton, Morris

Francis, Nigel

Henry, Brandon

Laudat, Romel

Robinson, Hassan

St. Ville, Adam

Thomas, Larry

The event details are as follows:

Date: 13th May, 2022 to 15th May, 2022

Venue: Dominica State College

Time Control: 30+30

Format: Round Robin

Number of rounds: 9

Number of rounds per day: 3

Start times for event:

Friday: 5 PM

Saturday: 2 PM

Sunday: 2 PM

The sponsors of the event are, H.H.V. Whitchurch, Big Edge Financial Express, Jays Book Store, the Muslim Store & Dominica State College where the event will be hosted. We appreciate their willingness to support The Dominica Chess Federation.
