The Joseph Family announces  the death of 89 years old Marie Therese Joseph of Kings Hill, Dominica. She was otherwise known as Ma Hayden or Ma Marie.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Hayden Joseph, and four daughters – Theresa Hector and Rosie Felix in Dominica and Susan Joseph and Cecilia Cooke in New York.

She was the grandmother of Randall, Reisha, Rael,and Raedian Felix, Kharell Leslie, Dodie Matthew, Dwayne and Oisha Joseph, and Sophie Che’rubin. She was also the stepmother of Henry and Heather Joseph and the mother in law of Eustace Hector, Rany Felix and Denis Cooke.

She was the grandma-in-law of Mackella Felix, and great grandma of Aziel Felix and Kesslyn Joseph.

Ma Hayden  left behind 2 sisters, Victoria Serrant and Nelly Joachim in St Martin and her brother Joseph Jolly in England.

Her many nieces, nephews and cousins include but not limited to Julien, Bernard, Phillip, Maria, Matilda, Trevor, Sylma, Sherandie, Martha, Vanty, Vanessa, Shalerie, Eddie, Joey, Sheba, Evanda, Gabriel, Thirnilia, Ophelia and Althea.

Her Homecare Assistants were Miranda Joseph and Marie Olga Delice.

Ma Hayden will be remembered by many neighbors and loved ones including but not limited to Mr & Mrs Richard David, Mr & Mrs Anzar Thomas, Mr & Mrs Felix Thomas, Mr & Mrs Tony Leblanc, Mr & Mrs Bernard Mitchel, Mr & Mrs Julien Alexander, Mr & Mrs John Honore, Sonia Lloyd, Heather Felix-Evans, Yvonne Bellot,  Caryl Fontaine, Thirn Jolly, Crispin Corriette, Mona James, Lambert Oscar and IIene Luke and their families. She will also be remembered by the Jolly, Abraham Popo families.

Ma Hayden loved and appreciated her spiritual and healthcare teams and they are hereby acknowledged – Msgr William JohnLewis, Rev Fr Francis Nwachukwu and Communion Minister Richard Didier, Nurses – Shirnelle Elizee, Vincia Auguiste,  Denise Edwards, PrincessAnn Laville, Sharmaine Julien and Rosie Felix;  Community Health Aids – Joyce Victorine,  Binta Frevrier and Tawana Paris;  Physicians – Lisa Jolly, Cleona Peters, Korak Frederick, Ade Aderibigbe, Sam Christian and Hazel Shillingford-Ricketts. 

A Mass for Christian burial for Marie, Ma Hayden Joseph of King’s Hill will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Newtown on Monday 31st May, at 3pm. Viewing will commence at 2.30pm. The Joseph family sincerely thanks you for your generous outpouring of love and support in the past few days and in the following days ahead.
