CARICOM delegation at ICAO meeting in Qatar

A delegation from the CARICOM Secretariat is in Doha to participate in the 2025 International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Facilitation Conference in Doha, Qatar, from 14 – 17 April. The delegation comprises Ambassador David Prendergast, Director Sectoral Programmes and Dr. Pauline Yearwood, Deputy Programme Manager, Transportation.

The theme of the conference is ‘Facilitating the Future of Air Transport: Collaboration, Efficiency, Inclusivity’. Some of the topics participants will discuss are Cooperation, Collaboration and Inter-Agency Coordination; Travel Document Integrity and Border Control; Passenger Experience; Passenger Data Systems; Addressing Inadmissible Persons – Deportees, Refugees and Stateless Persons; Accessibility in International Civil Aviation; Innovation in Facilitation and Artificial Intelligence; and Capacity-Building and Implementation Support for States.
