The first leg of the Inter-Secondary Schools Debating Competition in Dominica has concluded with Portsmouth Secondary School emerging victorious.

Round 1 of the competition kicked off today Tuesday with the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School vs. Portsmouth Secondary School.

It continues on Wednesday with the St. Martin Secondary School vs. Castle Bruce Secondary School

The opening round took place at the University of the West Indies and tackled the thought-provoking topic: “School-based learning has become more relevant than formal academic training in meeting the economic needs of Dominica.” Stay tuned for more updates as the competition progresses!
