Fine Foods Inc. supports Dominica Cancer Society Through “Friends in the Fight” Campaign

Every October, people and communities across Dominica unite in solidarity for Cancer Awareness Month—a time dedicated to supporting, building awareness, and fostering hope. With the Dominica Cancer Society leading the charge, Fine Foods Inc. proudly joined this year’s efforts through its trusted brand, Soft Weave, by launching the “Friends in the Fight” campaign. Through Soft Weave, their line of tissue paper, napkins, and paper towels, Fine Foods Inc. supported the Society in its mission of empowering, educating, and assisting those impacted by cancer.

As part of this initiative, the “Friends in the Fight” campaign focused on raising awareness and directed part of the proceeds from every Soft Weave purchase to the Dominica Cancer Society. This non-profit organization works tirelessly to provide essential resources and support to individuals and families facing cancer. Fine Foods Inc. was honored to stand alongside the Society in its mission to educate and assist those impacted by cancer. Additionally, utilizing social media, a Cancer Awareness Series was released, sharing informative and heartwarming videos featuring interviews with doctors and cancer survivors themselves.

The donation was presented to Mrs. Yvonne Alexander, President of the Dominica Cancer Society, who expressed deep gratitude for the support. During the exchange, Josie Polydore, Brand Coordinator for Soft Weave, shared her personal connection to the cause, stating,“Supporting meaningful causes has always been a priority for Fine Foods Inc., and as someone whose mother bravely fought cancer, I am honored to contribute through Soft Weave to a mission so close to my heart.”

The Fine Foods team also proudly joined the Society’s annual Cancer Walk, an inspiring community event to raise awareness about cancer and show solidarity with survivors and fighters. “The walk was a deeply moving experience,” Polydore added. “Seeing the community come together for such an important cause inspires us to continue supporting the Society in every way we can.”

Overall, Fine Foods Inc. hopes this contribution will make a difference for those in need and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Dominica Cancer Society in the future.
