The Morne Anglais Community Tourism Group and the Giraudel/Eggleston Flower Growers Group are collaborating with and Sandra Bell-LaRocque (visual artist) to present L’ART DANS UN JARDIN DE FLEURES (Art in a Garden of Flowers)
This event will be a community activity featuring paintings and sculpture by Sandra Bell-LaRocque at the natural and resplendent Flower Show Site in Giraudel on Sunday 20th October to Friday 25th October and again on the Tuesday 29th October to Wednesday 6th November 2024.
Entrance will be free to allow everyone to have a viewing opportunity. 4-H clubs, schools and other social groups, are especially encouraged to participate. Activities for budding artists and school children will be held.
During this period, plants, food, drinks, craft and other local items will be on sale. Other activities will include an afternoon performance by Carlyn XP and “Sip and Paint” with renowned artist Shadrach Burton all in an effort to raise funds for persons of the community in need of medical assistance.
The iconic Raymond Lawrence will be presented with special recognition award for his outstanding contribution to cultural and community development in the Giraudel/Eggleston twin communities.
The public, including visitors to the Dominica Festivals taking place at this time, are encouraged to participate and enjoy this educational and fun-filled and therapeutic event.
