Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards Announces the 2024 Honours Class

Antigua and Barbuda – The Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards (ABGMA) is proud to announce its prestigious 2024 Honours Class as part of the 10th Annual Awards Festival. This year’s honorees include a diverse group of individuals from the fields of radio, television, music, fashion, and humanitarian advocacy, recognizing their significant contributions on both a national and international scale.

The ABGMA, set to take place from November 28th to December 1st, 2024, will celebrate the achievements of these outstanding individuals during the Legacy Ball & Media Awards on Saturday November 30th 2024. The honorees represent excellence in media, music, and humanitarian work, reflecting the values of leadership, impact, and global outreach that the ABGMA stands for.

The 2024 Honours Class

Legacy Award

  • Dave Lester Payne (Antigua): Esteemed Radio/TV Host and Journalist at Observer Radio by Newsco, recognized for his long-standing contributions to the media industry in Antigua.
  • Arthur Roland (USA): Renowned Southern Gospel Artist and Human Justice Humanitarian, celebrated for his advocacy and philanthropy in the U.S.

Global Humanitarian Award

  • Arthlene Legair Lawrence (USA/Dominica): Acclaimed Celebrity Fashion Designer, Empowerment Advocate, and Humanitarian, noted for her significant impact on women’s empowerment and global humanitarian efforts.
  • Jorad L. Holmes (USA): Multi-award-winning Gospel Recording Artist, Media Host, and dedicated Humanitarian, recognized for his work in spreading the gospel and serving communities in need.

National Humanitarian Award

  • Dr. Onika Campbell Rowe (Antigua): Esteemed Global Leader and Humanitarian, recognized for her local and international efforts to improve lives through advocacy.
  • Prophetess Melissa Simon (Antigua): Visionary Pastor, Humanitarian, and Author, honoured for her dedication to community service and spiritual leadership.

  • Claudette “CP” Peters (Antigua): Internationally acclaimed Soca/Soul Singer, Songwriter, and cultural ambassador, known for her powerful voice and contribution to Caribbean music.
  • Daniel “Goldmann” Agyin (Ghana): Multi-award-winning Gospel Recording Artist, Humanitarian, and Songwriter, celebrated for his musical influence and humanitarian efforts across Africa.
  • Alyssa Joseph (Trinidad): Award-winning and nominated Gospel Recording Artist, Dancer, Choreographer, and Radio Host, known for her dynamic performances and social influence in the gospel music scene.
  • Dr. Douglas R. Bramwell (USA/Jamaica): Prominent Media Personality and Media Network Owner, recognized for his leadership in the media industry and contributions to Caribbean media.

The Antigua Barbuda Global Music & Media Awards, now in its 10th year, celebrates the achievements of individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the global music and media industries.
