It’s with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs Theresa Panthier née Paul aged 92 of Derriere La Rosine , in Lagoon Portsmouth. She was lovingly known as Mama, Ma Emile or Ma Théresia. She died on Tuesday 19th March at her residence.
The bereaved:
Two daughters; Percylia Xavier Westley in New York and Emilia Panthier Joseph in Lagoon Portsmouth.
Four sons : Cyril and Fitzroy Hyacinth and Percival Xavier in Dominica and Emilius Panthier in the USA.
19 grandchildren to include Tessa , Tameka, Sherika, Tiexiera , Esther and Junior Hyacinth. Navid, Narius Emilia, Kervin and Kimani Panthier , Shana Gustafson and Shane Jolly, Johan, Sherma, Sherwyn, Shervin and Sherna Xavier
Adopted grandchild – Andia James in Grenada
17 great-grandchildren to include Jhadé Francois, Anesha, Aiden and Sherniah Jolly, Skyler and Khamal Panthier, Dinelle and Timothy Burton, Akira, Caia and Benjamin Finley , Jaleel, J’yan, Ariah and Kaira Xavier, Kenya Marcellin and Lael Honoré.
Three brothers :Gerald and Jones Paul in England and Phillip Paul in the USVI
One son in law: Ferdinand Joseph
3 Daughters in law to include Mrs Chandler Hyacinth
Sisters in law; Dotlyn Paul and Rose Lawrence in the UK and Nathanie Paul in the USVI
16 Nieces to include Cynthia, Celia, Vanessa, Bernadine, Erica, Philomena, Gwendolyn and Camisha
13 nephews to include Gerald, Camron, John, Julien, Michael and Darren.
Numerous grand nieces, nephews and cousins too many to mention.
One god daughter: Alvinia London in the USA
Very dear kins like Areta Challenger, Francis Francois, Prasanth Navarasala, Gazela Tonge , Christel Andrew, Inspector Valda Powell, Milutin Hyacinth and family, Eulalie Burton and family, Fiona Vidal and family, Vernice Joseph and family, Julius ‘good living’ Dupuis.
Family friends to include the Lastics, The Kings and Petroline Bertrand in The USA, The Pauls in Salisbury and Mahaut, The Riviere and Cambran Families in Dominica, The Nicholas Family in Lagoon, The Hamiltons in Portsmouth, Edward Dinard in Toucarie, and many others in excess to mention
She was a devout catholic and a member of the Social League and the Legion of Mary societies.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday April 5th 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Portsmouth Roman Catholic Church. Viewing will begin at 11:30 am
Burial service is assisted by NEFA.
