Mudd Mas is an event where people play and get dirty in the mud. According to the main organizer; ” I got the idea for this event when I went to Antigua during their carnival season. It was entertaining to see everyone having a blast in the mud, so I thought it would be awesome to have something like this in Marigot during our carnival celebrations. I contacted one of the organizers, who showed me how to prepare the mud and gave me tips on making the event unique”.
After returning to Dominica, I started planning and eventually launched Mudd Mas Marigot on Carnival Tuesday in 2022. Despite some challenges due to its location, the event was a success thanks to funding from the organizers in Marigot. The following year, in 2023, we held the event again, and it was even more successful than the first one.
We are excited to announce that this year’s Mudd Mas event will be bigger than before because we have regional artists, making it a unique and unforgettable experience for our community during the carnival season. We aim to establish Mudd Mas as an annual and trademark event and welcome businesses and individuals interested in contributing towards making this one of the best events during the carnival season.
