NETWORK TECHNICIAN – HEAD OFFICE, NCCU LTD

The National Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd invites applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill the vacant position of Network Technician.

The Network Technician will be assigned to the Information Technology Department – Head Office, NCCU Ltd

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Network Technician:

• assists with network operations, troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance of the hardware of the National Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Ltd’s information systems  

• delivers information technology services for the NCCU Ltd and other networks monitored and maintained by the NCCU Ltd

(A) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
2. Appropriate professional qualification in Hardware Maintenance, Programming, Information or Computer Science
3.  Five (5) CSEC passes at general, with grades 1, 2 or 3 which includes Mathematics & English.
4. Working Knowledge of operations of Information Technology Systems and in particular, micro-computer based systems
5. Minimum of two (2) years practical experience in a computer related field.
6. A+ or Network Certification or Certificate in Information and Computer Science
7. Other relevant qualification
8. At least four (4) years working experience in a financial institution or a Credit Union would be an asset.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others
• Excellent  interpersonal skills
• Experience in planning, organizing and coordinating programmes
• Ability to transfer knowledge and skills
