We announce the death of Anastasie Lonia Castor of St. Joseph

Birthdate: 24th September, 1937

Deathdate: October 10th, 2023

She was 86 years old

She is survived by:

1 Son; Kunta Noel In Martinique

6 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild

1 Adopted Son: Craig Castor

Many Goddaughters and Godsons including Niaomi Williams

2 Sisters: Josephine Castor in St. Thomas And Magdaline Jno-Baptiste in Louisiana.

7 Brothers: Soya Castor and Julien Humphreys in England, Vivian Castor, Clement and Simbert Humphreys in St. Thomas, New Humphreys in Guadeloupe and Edward Humphreys in Canada

2 Sisters in Law: Octavia Castor in St. Thomas and Agatha Humphreys in Guadeloupe

1 Aunt: Verone Castor in Mero

23 Nieces Including:  Josian and Ingrid Williams in Dominica, Ercel Liverpool and Jacqueline Williams in Guadeloupe, Caroline Castor Prosper in Georgia and Juliette Gumps in the U.S.A

25 Nephews including: Wiseman Castor, Walter Alexander, Julian, Greshan and Deloid Williams and James Daniel in Dominica and Eddie Williams in Guadeloupe

Many Grand nieces and nephews to include: Floyd and Rachel Capitolin, Herbie Williams in Antigua,  Jocelyne, Nal, and Elijah Williams, Mirand Jacob, Michele Antoine and Jeanette and Joel Marie- Joseph in Guadeloupe, Marlen, Marlon, Shandel and Shandika Sablon, John, Momo, Como, Monell, Elisha, Jeremiah, Jerome and Jerommy Williams and Cathy and Jacob Daniel in Dominica

Close Friends and Relatives including: Norwell Georges, the prime Minister of Dominica, Honorable Roosevelt Skerrit, the former parliamentary Representatives of the St. Joseph Constituency Vince Henderson, Kelvar Darroux and Adis King. The current parliamentary representative Honorable Darron Lloyd and the St. Joseph Dominica Labor Party Constituency Association, Pastor Albert Valarie and the St. Joseph Health Team.

The Castor, Williams and Sablon families in Mero, Layou and St. Joseph and the entire community of St.Joseph, the management and staff of Express-des-Iles and the hucksters and Vendors on the Guadeloupe Market.

She will be laid to rest on Friday 20th October at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Viewing is at 2:30pm to be followed by internment at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
