8 students of the St Mary’s Academy’s participated in a Chess Championship on September 30^th, 2023.

After 7 rounds of games, and tie breaking procedures, the following emerged as the top 3:

1^st place               –              Lucas Sorhaindo – 7 points

2^nd place              –              Jahnyah Augustine – 5 points

3^rd place               –              Noah Sorhaindo – 5 points

Congratulations to all 8 chess players. There is much positivity to look forward to as the youth of Dominica continue to engage themselves constructively in the game of chess.
