We announce the death of 61-year-old Ernest Vaughn Letang of Shawford Estate. He died on the 04th September 2023 at his residence.
Ernest Letang was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a man of incomparable integrity and unimaginable principal. He lived his life not by words, but by actions of charity to anyone in need, by the candid fatherly advice that we all needed at one point or the other, with charism that echoed a man of compassion and made others naturally gravitate towards him and a dominance that commanded respect. He was in simple, a good man who cared for his family, friends and others.
With most of his time devouted to his family, Ernest still followed his passions of music, writing, painting, exercise, and spiritual wellness. This resulted in many books about the local qualms of Dominica, beautiful paintings which still line the family home and exercise and spiritual wellness that carried him off to the end. In short, he was a local business man who gifted the world with the pleasure of his soul. Ernest Vaughn Letang, also known as “NorNor”, “Shaolin”, “Shangoe”, “Swizzle” was a man who will be remembered, missed and celebrated by all.
