It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Remy, age 93 of Zicack, Portsmouth who resided in Glanvillia. She died on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.

She has left to mourn 10 children, Mavis, Clement, Vincia and Leona in Dominica, Carol in France, Marcus (Lemuel) in Antigua, Dave and Sylvanus in St. Martin, Mark (Orlando) and Pauline (Pam) in the USA;

35 grandchildren: Katherine, Norissa, Anthea, Mclean, Olivette, Alice, Bernard, Carla, Elroy, Lyn, Lawrence, Princess, Kirt, Carl, Eleanor, Lenna, JR, Jenna, Mesha, Davion, Denise, Denisha, Dave Junior, Davidson, Vernon, Jasmine, Jermain, Vernard, Everdeen, Jamal, Yohhan, Joshua, Sierra, Asia, and Cataleya ,

1 step-granddaughter, Corinthia;

38 great-grandchildren,

14 great-great-grandchildren and 1 step great-granddaughter;

 2 daughters-in-law, Fanny Charles in Dominica and Suzette Peters in the USA;

2 brothers, Rupert in England and Andrew in Dominica and,

1 sister, Monica in the USA.

She will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews including Jemma and Janet Alexis; numerous friends and well-wishers including Victoria Remy and Carlene Solomon in Dominica and Catherine Webb in England; Pastors and members of the Portsmouth SDA church, nurses and staff of the Glover ward at the DCFH with special mention of Drs. Fadoul and Mead and nurse Thomas.

We will celebrate the life of Catherine Remy on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 with viewing from 1:30 pm at the Portsmouth Seventh day Adventist Church in Glanvillia, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will follow at the Chance public cemetery.
