On Tuesday the National Bank of Dominica (NBD) and the Dominica Council on Ageing organized a workshop on cyber security; the purpose of which was to to enhance the ability of older persons to protect themselves online.
Member of the Vibrant Senior Group and the Council of Ageing, Jennifer White said that the session was exceptional. She praised the organizers for a job well done.
“Ohhh! It was wonderful
I learned so much from the session and I have been telling people about it already. I have Mobanking but there’s so many pitfalls, not as far as the banking is concerned but as far as the cyber part and as a senior, I know that I could maybe fall for some of the ploys from the people who would want to hack us.”
White said that the information was very well presented and she understands much more about cyber security.
She thanks NBD greatly and hopes that the bank can come to the various groups that form part of the Dominica Council on Ageing to do more personal sessions.
The Workshop which forms part of cyber security month which is observed on June, was facilitated by NBD staff including Nigel Smith, Fernilia Felix-Fredrick, and Kristelle Fagan supported by the marketing department including Alliane Abel and Adrie Nicholas.
